It all started in the steel city of India, Jamshedpur. Born in Bharat’s first Industrial City, Mr. Ashok Ganguly started his education in his hometown and eventually reached its pinnacle with double Master’s degrees, MSc. in Statistics and MSc. in Mathematics. After completing his education, he took up a Lecturer position in a college under Ranchi University, and it was this teaching assignment that germinated the seed of SOS. As he climbed professionally, his work took him abroad to Indonesia, and from there to Singapore and finally settled in the United States of America.

Even though his heart always remained connected to his roots and was inspired by the late Mr. Ratan Tata, the former Chairman of the Tata Group, to whom he looked up as his mentor, he was deeply moved by Mr. Tata’s unwavering commitment to Jamshedpur and India’s development. Mr. Tata’s vision of empowering communities and driving progress through education and innovation ignited a fire within him. Driven by such similar passion for education and a desire to make learning accessible to all, Mr. Ganguly founded SOS, Self Online Study in the United States of America combining his global perspective and academic expertise to create a platform that empowers students globally. His story is one of resilience, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to shaping the future of education. His vision is "To create an Educational world where every student, regardless of background, can unlock their full potential through accessible, personalized, and transformative self-learning experiences."

His life is a testament to the power of ambition, education, and rich experience. We all at SOS are indebted to him and look up to him as our Mentor.
